
Bio
Kayla is a highly experienced and passionate director, choreographer, and dancer whose career spans from the stage to the director's seat.
​
With over 15 years of experience and one of the most diverse resumes in the industry, Kayla has choreographed for renowned productions such as the World of WearableArts, X Factor NZ, numerous music videos, theatre productions, and live shows for recording artists and events. She also produces and directs entertainment for some of New Zealand's largest music and arts festivals. As a performer, Kayla has appeared on stage for various artists and entities both locally and internationally.

A graduate of tertiary dance education in Australia, Kayla began her professional career in 2007. Alongside her work as a choreographer and director, she is a dedicated mentor, guiding emerging and pre-professional dance artists.

In 2025, Kayla, alongside a powerhouse faculty, opened New Zealand's latest full-time dance training facility, The Conservatory. The Conservatory serves as both a creative hub for Kayla and her team of industry professionals to produce dance and art and a premier institution preparing emerging dancers for professional careers.

Recognized as a leader in the New Zealand dance community, Kayla takes pride in her role as a mentor and creative force. She is committed to evolving as an artist, showcasing her versatility, and inspiring others to build careers in the performing arts while pursuing her own artistic goals.
